Who are we?

We are Alison and Stephen and we are wedding photography specialists photographing weddings and civil partnerships with our distinctive documentary style across the UK. We work all over the UK from the south coast of England to the north coast of Scotland! We are based on the north east edge of Derbyshire and are very close to the county border with Sheffield and South Yorkshire. Our combined approach with our different perspectives results in relaxed and unobtrusive wedding photography that captures a real wedding day without interruption and choregraphed 'moments'! All weddings on this website were photographed by a two photographer husband and wife team, Alison and Stephen Purvis-Gisborne.

How can we find out more?

Our website is packed full of a variety of featured weddings from a wide selection of venues across the UK. If you are at a distance from our Derbyshire base in the East Midlands, don't worry, we photograph weddings all over the UK and often work with clients at the other end of the country or even out of the country altogether. Just get in touch and we can talk more. Don't forget about our blog, we keep it regularly updated with photographs from recent weddings, pre-ceremony shoots and other bits and pieces. You can see all the different places we have been to and get to know us a little better before your wedding. Where are we?

We're based close to the Derbyshire / South Yorkshire border in the East Midlands of England. We are halfway between the city of Sheffield and the market town of Chesterfield. Our all inclusive price for wedding photography already includes our travel expenses from our base in on the Derbyshire and South Yorkshire border to anywhere within the mainland UK. In the next few months we're photographing weddings at venues including Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons in Oxfordshire, Hassop Hall Hotel in Derbyshire, Smeetham Hall Barn in Suffolk, The Lazaat Hotel near Hull in East Yorkshire, Effingham Golf Club in Surrey, Branston Hall Hotel in Lincolnshire, Losehill Hall Hotel in Derbyshire, Prestwold Hall near Loughborough in Leicestershire, The Priest House in Derbyshire, Edensor Church at Chatsworth House Estate in Derbyshire, Hathersage Church in Derbyshire, and The Inn at Whitewell in Lancashire. Last year we photographed a wedding near Brighton and the very next week we were up in Dumfrieshire in Scotland! We really enjoy our travels over the UK and relish the opportunity to visit new places and venues.

We produce a selection of high quality bookbound wedding albums which have a large variety of options so your album can look classic or contemporary. Each album is individually designed by Alison Purvis-Gisborne to tell the story of your wedding day. We can also provide parents' albums and framed prints and other bespoke items such as canvases and acrylic frames.
