Crewe Hall, Crewe, Cheshire.
Dina and Rakesh had their civil ceremony a week after their Indian Hindu wedding celebrations. It was a pleasure to be back with Dina, Rakesh and all their family and friends for the final part of their wedding celebrations. The setting for their civil wedding was quite different with the stunning backdrop of Crewe Hall as the wedding venue.
The day started with the bridal preparations and Dina continued to look stunning. The wedding ceremony was in the Long Gallery on the second floor of Crewe Hall and it was a short walk for Dina up the beautifully ornate staircase. Dina’s father was waiting for her and he escorted her into the ceremony to meet Rakesh at the end of the aisle. I think it was obvious to everyone that Dina and Rakesh were both very happy!
It was pretty windy outside, but everyone ventured outside for a quick whole-group photo and then a couple of quick portraits of Dina and Rakesh. The drinks reception was really leisurely and relaxed. All the food was supplied by Indian cuisine specialists: The Bombay Bicycle Club, highly recommended as the food was excellent. We were also impressed by the staff of Crewe Hall ; they were very considerate and attentive.
The balcony at Crewe Hall is a great spot for a photographer to catch some lovely moments between people.
The wedding cake was a mini cake and lots of little cup cakes. A really nice alternative to tiered wedding cake.
